Bucharest, 23 June 2025 — Olala!, a dynamic and growing player in the global hospitality industry, consolidates its strategic expansion in the Romanian market through the acquisition of two centrally located hotels in Bucharest: Hotel Duke Romana, situated near Piata Romana and the iconic Victoriei Avenue, and Hotel Duke Armeneasca, located close to historic Universitate Square and the charming Armenian Neighborhood. This significant investment, valued over 5 millon € , positions Olala!'s acquisition among notable recent investments in Romania's hospitality sector, demonstrating increasing investor confidence. Olala!’s ambitious move solidifies its footprint in Romania and underscores its commitment to the local hospitality sector.

Olala! already has a longstanding presence in the country through its Romanian affiliate, Rina Hotels, which has been operating successfully for nearly 30 years with five existing properties, including the iconic Hotel Sinaia, Hotel Cerbul, and Vila Camelia in Sinaia, Hotel Ski & Sky in Predeal, and Hotel Trianon in Bucharest, currently undergoing significant transformation. Hotel Trianon will soon be relaunched as Maison Orient, a contemporary boutique hotel scheduled to open in fall 2025, featuring 42 stylishly rooms, and a sophisticated gastronomic space, 9Under, that will add to its already operative outlets in Romania: La ROQ, Apres, Crama Rina.

"This acquisition is a crucial milestone in our strategy to strengthen Olala!’s position in Romania and across Europe. We strongly believe in the potential of the Romanian market and are committed to continuously investing and enhancing the quality of our properties," stated Ittai Savran, CEO of Olala!.

Moreover, the company’s strategy for the next two years includes improvements focused on its F&B offerings, guest rooms and common areas across all its assets. These interventions will bring an elevated experience aligned with Olala!’s standards for guest service and experience.

In addition to hotel operations, Olala! successfully manages Olala Homes, a brand dedicated to short-term accommodation, boasting an extensive portfolio of apartments across Romania, Portugal, Spain, and Greece, among other destinations. By integrating its deep local market knowledge through Rina Hotels and leveraging its growing international presence, Olala! aims to deliver a distinctive value proposition to both Romanian and international travelers.

Looking ahead, Olala! is actively evaluating additional investments in major Romanian cities such as Cluj-Napoca and Brasov, further reinforcing its long-term vision for growth in the country. Among its most promising developments is a new 5-star hotel project in Sinaia, planned on land the company already owns — a testament to its enduring commitment to the region.

In addition to hospitality, Olala! is also deeply engaged in the local community through Roots Learning Hub non-profit coworking space and alternative learning center in Sinaia. The hub offers courses, workshops, and guidance to help high school students prepare for university and vocational paths, while also providing career counseling and support for local entrepreneurs. Its mission is to cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment that empowers individuals with essential life and professional skills. As part of this commitment, the Timeraiser Arts Bucharest event will take place on June 21st at Hotel Duke Romana. During the event, attendees will have the unique opportunity to bid on artworks using volunteer hours instead of money, directly supporting a range of local NGOs.

"Romania holds significant potential for growth within the hospitality industry, and our vision is firmly anchored in expanding and enhancing our presence here. We aim to contribute positively to the local economy and tourism sector, offering guests memorable and high-quality experiences," added Savran.

This strategic acquisition underlines Olala!’s expansion efforts in familiar markets and its ongoing commitment to becoming a leading hospitality provider in Romania and across Europe, offering innovative experiences and exceptional service standards.
